While the shoot with Zowie had the direction to keep it sensual and as someone who has worked and created content for a sensual shoot, I knew that mystery could play a great role when it comes to sensuality. Hence, we created some silhouettes to go with the photoshoot. The sensual beach photoshoot took place in Barcelona early in the moring before at the time of sunrise.
Creating silhouettes is one of my favourite types of photo art. I started creating silhouettes accidentally while taking pictures of my friends at sunset. It was a bit of a shameful moment at first because the idea wasn’t to take silhouettes, but one of my good friends approached me and said how he likes the result because it has a very artistic effect. Even though I initially liked the picture, it was not until I heard these comments that I was confident enough to say it out loud.
Since the day every now and then whenever I can create a silhouette, I take advantage of the situation and capture a few. It’s not necessary that you need idea situations to create silhouettes all you need is an overexposed background and underexposed subject and finally set your camera manual to get the best results.
